Mini-book Review
In Nativism and The Klan, by Valeria Cowell, Jason a 12 year old boy encounters several changes during the 1920s. He has what one can call a traumatic experience with the Ku Klux Klan. Jason is a very curious and he walks around town learning about all the changes that are happening. The story is very well written and it takes the reader through a short glimpse of Jason's life. This is a read for audiences interested in the 1920s because there are some slang terms that only the ones that grew up during that time period or studying it would understand.
